Honey labels - as individual as the product
The honey of the Eifel bee - the natural product produced with love and sustainability at the Mühlenberg apiary - was given attractive and modern labelling by me. The professionally designed label sets the product apart from the competition and is sure to appeal to customers' tastes.
New online: Equal Care Day 2020
Equal Care Day is an initiative that calls on people, organisations and institutions internationally to organise and celebrate a day of action that draws attention to the lack of appreciation and unfair distribution of care work. Together with flextorate I am pleased to contribute to raising awareness of the fact that care work and care are all too often poorly or not at all rewarded in our society with the help of a comprehensive redesign of the website.
New on the net: A beastly good internet presence
After many years with a dusty design or even without a website at all, the joint veterinary practice Dr Hülsmann & Dr Unland finally presents itself in a lively, clear and technically up-to-date way. Together with flextorate I am delighted to have achieved such a great result and to be able to give the competent and friendly practice team in Kommern the recognition it deserves online. Of course, there was also a new logo to match.
The classics: expressive adverts
For target groups that purchase services or products regionally, a regional marketing strategy is still important in the age of online marketing. Display in newspapers, trade journals and advertising journals still make sense. I design customised print ads for you with recognition value that stand out and are read.
Campaign for two- and four-legged friends
The aim of a targeted social media campaign was to promote Cromme Coaching to create a series of exciting posts highlighting International Horse Coaching Day. The review and evaluation shows: a complete success!
Relaunch at Kurth Autokrane
Do you like waiting? Your customers certainly don't! Especially not when surfing the Internet. So I gave the website of Kurth Autokrane GmbH & Co. KG website and equipped it with a turbo drive so that you can immediately find what you are looking for. Information that is particularly urgent, such as the 24-hour emergency service for the recovery and towing of lorries, is always visible and can be used for direct dialling on a smartphone. What characterises the way Kurth Autokrane works in general now also applies to its website. For this reason, the focus has been even more on the essentials - information content, topicality and clarity. We analysed which content was accessed particularly often and added new content for visitors at these points:
- extended download area
- current messages
- Security issues
- Full control over data protection
And, of course, we have also thought about the fact that the eye reads and everything has been packed into a smart, flexible and accessible design. I hope you enjoy browsing!
Something for the heart again ...
A selection of new invitations and greeting cards: designed with love and according to the wishes of the happy clients - it was a feast for me!
New on the net: The Eifel Bee
Friedrich Bleckmann's beekeeping business needed a logo and a website that were both modern and contemporary, but also conveyed the naturalness and sustainability of beekeeping on the Mühlenberg. Together with flextorate I am delighted to have achieved such a wonderful result and to give the home of the Eifel bee the status it deserves.
New on the net: Antique Andres
A project with an aesthetic challenge: the new website of Antique Andres in Euskirchen-Kirchheim, whose owners are passionate collectors of beautiful old things. The passion for antiques began at flea markets and is still the business concept of Antik Andres today. No sales strategy, but rather personal taste and an eye for something special run like a red thread through the showrooms. And the internet presence should be just as individual - this requirement could be met thanks to the proven cooperation with flextorate and by means of a new logo.
A fresh coat of paint for the estate agent logo:
Now also with Eifel!
One of my most loyal customers - Real estate Skiba from Adenau - wished for his ageing home Logo a fresh kick. And so the successful estate agent company now presents itself with an attractive green landscape and appealing lettering - in keeping with the slogan "Your estate agent from the Eifel". Naturally, all online and offline media have also been adapted in the process. A well-rounded affair!
New on the net: Cut & Style - your hairdresser and colour expert
Such good and uncomplicated cooperation as with Cut & Style I and my colleague from flextorate We can only be delighted - especially when the result is so satisfactory. With the new logo and the modern website, the hairdresser and colour expert with its four salons has the appropriate presentation for the team of top stylists, where everything revolves around your beauty and aesthetics, and where your hair, your lifestyle and your individual wishes are always the focus. Naturally, the external appearance was also adapted in all printed materials.
New on the net: Theo and Petra Lieven International Piano Foundation
Company founder Theo Lieven is particularly keen to support young musicians, which is why he was one of the founders of the International Piano Academy Lake Como in 2002 and later established the Theo Lieven International Piano Foundation in Hamburg, named after him. It aims to support advanced pianists and organises, among other things, piano masterclasses and the final concerts of the students and teachers at the Vienna Musikverein.
New on the net: Party-Service Schroeder
Party-Service Schroeder from Euskirchen supplies buffets for all occasions and invites you to a culinary journey on its new website, which can be used to embellish any celebration. Whether it's a wedding, birthday, communion, anniversary or official event - you can celebrate and Party-Service Schroeder will take care of the culinary setting:
New on the net: "Your Healthy Practice"
Welcome to the joint practice in Adenau at the Nürburgring-Sinzenich! The new website gives you the opportunity to get to know the two doctors, the team and their work better. Ralf Fey and René Kirch are specialists in internal medicine in general medical care and also have specialist expertise in cardiology and occupational medicine - a unique combination in the area.
Burning passion: a logo for FEUER FREY!
"We burn for barbecuing!" is the slogan of the new company FEUER FREY. Fittingly, I gave them a Logowhich presents the blazing passion for the world of barbecuing - whether gas, electric or charcoal - as well as the range of barbecue accessories and barbecue seminars. Really hot!

New on the net: Truck Centre Backes
Founded in 2002 TCB Truck Centre Backes in Olzheim carries out all repairs and maintenance work on lorries, cars and trailers - from precise analysis and mobile breakdown service to engine and gearbox repairs. The company's new website was also intended to convey this concentrated expertise with the help of extensive information. However, as the company was urgently looking for trainees, the website went online in advance in a "slimmed-down" form - so flexibility was required in terms of prompt implementation. Of course, I was happy to help and say: more on this soon!
Tips & Tricks No. 12
In the "neunmalklug" section, I publish tips, tricks and technical information about graphic and web design at irregular intervals. Today:
What is responsive web design and how does it work?
"Responsive web design" is a technique for developing websites in which the layout is designed to automatically adapt to the size and resolution of the device on which the website is displayed. This ensures an optimal user experience on all devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones. This is achieved through the use of flexible grid systems, flexible images and media queries.
Here are 9 recommendations for a responsive website:
- Use of a flexible grid structure for the website to ensure that content automatically adapts to different screen sizes and devices.
- Use CSS media queries to customise the layout and size of images for different screen sizes.
- Use fonts that are easy to read on all devices and adjust their size for different screen sizes.
- Avoid unnecessary elements that could slow down the loading time of the website.
- Use of images and graphics with a resolution that is suitable for the respective device.
- Use of clear and concise menus and navigation elements that are easy to use even on smaller screens.
- Testing the website on different devices to ensure that it looks and works well on all screen sizes and devices.
- Minimise the use of pop-ups or other elements that force the user to click on certain buttons in order to use the website.
- Use of a content management system (CMS) such as WordPress, which supports and automatically adapts the creation of responsive content.
Fresh on the net: Wackenbus 2023
In 2023, the Wacken buses will be travelling to the legendary Wacken Open Air, the biggest heavy metal festival in the world, for the 14th time. It's a very special bus service that takes rock fans from different parts of Germany, Austria and Switzerland to the festival, which takes place annually in Wacken, a village in Schleswig-Holstein, and attracts thousands of fans. I had the pleasure of designing a new and fitting layout for the website.
Fresh on the net: Conny Bauer
Sales is more than just selling products or services, the customer needs a holistic strategy. In her sales training, Cornelia Bauer works face to face or in small groups with comparable target groups and analyses where the relevant customers can be found, how to look after them perfectly, retain them and turn them into enthusiastic regular customers, because professional training is necessary and essential for success in sales. I am happy to support you in this with a small and sophisticated website.
Making it big with impressive formats
Expertly designed poster advertising offers you the opportunity to reach target groups that are difficult to address in their individual media consumption.
In this way, a successful poster quietly and patiently courts the favour of passers-by and becomes more familiar with every encounter. I get the most important elements right for you so that everything essential is captured at first glance and attention is quickly and specifically drawn to your product, your event or your motif.
Workbooks on podcasts
I was extremely pleased to be able to work for the Didactics of Social Sciences department at Trier University again: The school workbooks, in conjunction with the appropriate podcasts, are intended to give students the opportunity to combine media skills and action-orientation. In this way, media knowledge is conveyed and research skills are learnt in a very practical way. I have created the corresponding layouts and hope that this will motivate the young listeners particularly well!
The classics: expressive adverts
For target groups that purchase services or products regionally, a regional marketing strategy is still important in the age of online marketing. Display in newspapers, trade journals and advertising journals still makes sense.
Advertising in print media is particularly worthwhile for current offers that encourage spontaneous purchases. This type of advertising also works traditionally well for certain occasions or events. Advertisements can be regionally limited for targeted advertising and in sector-specific newspapers or magazines they reach exactly the right addressees.
I design customised print ads for you with recognition value that stand out and are read.
Visual communication with sense and understanding
Magazines and brochures are still important in advertising as they provide a physical presence and can appeal to a selected target group. Through appealing design and informative content, they enable a long-lasting impact and convey brand messages in a personal and tangible way.
Regardless of whether you want to design a powerful image brochure, create a detailed product catalogue, design a stylish magazine or write an official annual report - I not only get what you have to say and show in perfect form, I also think along with you.
Tips & Tricks No. 11
In the "neunmalklug" section, I publish tips, tricks and technical information about graphic and web design at irregular intervals. Today:
What is "white space" and why is it so important?
"White space" refers to the unused space between different design elements such as text, images or graphics. It helps to structure the design and improve the visual hierarchy by giving the viewer's eye a break and focussing on the most important elements. Effective use of white space can make a design more elegant, modern and easier to understand.
Here are 9 tips on the topic of "white space" - the free space in a design in which there is neither a visual element nor text:
- Emphasising content: By using white space, important content on a website or graphic can be better emphasised. The white space around an element draws the viewer's focus to it and enables them to quickly grasp the content.
- Improving readability: Sufficient use of white space can improve the readability of text on a website or graphic. By leaving enough space between blocks of text, you can prevent the text from appearing cluttered and more difficult to read.
- Enhancing aesthetics: The use of white space can help a design appear more aesthetically pleasing overall. It gives a website or graphic a clean, organic look that can give the impression of elegance and sophistication.
- Creating balance: White space can help make a website or graphic look more balanced and symmetrical. By harmonising the space around different elements, you can achieve an overall balanced design.
- Better navigation: The use of white space can improve navigation on a website. By creating gaps between different navigation elements, you can help the viewer to find their way around more easily.
- Reduction of distractions: White space can help reduce visual distractions on a website or graphic. By separating certain elements, you can prevent the viewer from being overwhelmed and losing focus.
- Facilitating perception: The use of white space can facilitate the perception of content. By leaving enough space between different elements, the content can be better understood.
- Improving the user experience: A well thought-out use of white space can improve the user experience on a website. By optimising the space around various elements, you can increase usability and provide visitors with a pleasant experience.
- Better conversions: Thoughtful use of white space can also help increase conversion rates on a website. By optimising the space around call-to-action buttons and directing the viewer's focus to specific elements, you can increase the likelihood that the viewer will perform a desired action.
Fresh on the net: Menopause counsellor Ulrike Platt
When women's fluctuating hormones turn everything upside down, when their feelings and moods take them on a rollercoaster ride, they may want a companion who takes their questions seriously. Someone who listens to them and works with them to find answers and solutions. Ulrike Platt - the expert for the menopause - provides this counselling for women in transition.
I was very happy to create an appealing website (and matching business cards, of course) for this topic, which has received little attention up to now, so that this often drastic experience for women becomes more present in social dialogue.
